Dani Carvajal has been rule out for a long time with reports suggesting Real Madrid are planning to sign another defender in January.
Ufabet reported on Sunday that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti plans to sign two more defenders in January, at centre-back and right-back, after Dani Carvajal’s season-ending injury ended.
Real Madrid have been limit in defence since the start of the season following the departure of Nacho Fernandez and the delay in David Alaba’s recovery from injury, leaving Ancelotti with just two reliable centre-back options in Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao.
Even with Jesus Vallejo as an emergency replacement, he is not good enough to be an option for Ancelotti, who has opted to use Aurelien Chuameni, Ferland Mendy or Carvajal as a makeshift centre-back.
The latest serious injury to Carvajal has added to the problems for Los Blancos, leaving Ancelotti with only Lucas Vazquez as his only option at right-back.
That means Ancelotti will need to discuss with the club’s Promotion ufabet management to sign two more new players in January, a left-back and a right-back, to strengthen the team’s potential to win success this season.
In addition, the club have reportedly accelerated plans to bring in Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies for next summer. His arrival would further bolster Madrid’s defence, but immediate solutions are need to navigate the ongoing injury challenges.
With their backs against the wall, Los Blancos may have no other option but to make a rare January splash in the transfer market to avoid defensive collapse.
